Ontario Announces Members of New Indigenous Women’s Advisory Council.

Canada’s Chief Public Health Officer, Dr. Theresa Tam issued an update earlier today on COVID-19 101,019 confirmed cases with 63,488 (63%) now recovered 8,410 fatalities. Over the past week, we have been testing an average of 36,000 people daily, with just over 1% testing positive; numbers change quickly and are updated daily in the evenings on www.Canada.ca/coronavirus. Earlier this month, York Region issued statement from York Region Chairman and CEO Wayne Emmerson about National Indigenous History Month and National Indigenous Peoples Day. Canadian Press reports on the York/Toronto Steeles Avenue border debate; On Steeles Avenue, salons and patios can open, but only on one side of the road.
