FEDERAL

· Prime Minister Trudeau did not address Canadians today

· In-lieu of an in-person media address, Dr. Tam issued a statement on COVID-19

· The Government of Canada issued a media release reminding travellers of travel restrictions at all Canadian international border crossings until at least July 21

PROVINCIAL

Premier Ford began his announcement by thanking the people of Ontario for their collective effort to re-open the province
 The Premier acknowledged the provincial accomplishment of hitting 30,000 tests daily with 98% coming back negative
 Acknowledged Ontario as one of the leading provinces in vaccination and treatment research for COVID-19
 Ontario Parks will be offering free day use at all Provincial Parks across Ontario on Canada Day and free fishing starting Saturday, July 4

YORK REGION

· The City of Toronto and the Region of Peel have both taken steps to make masks and face coverings mandatory in enclosed public places

· York Region is asking residents to “Be True Canadians” on Canada Day by celebrating while following public health measures

· Information about how to safely celebrate will be shared on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram June 30 – July 1
