PROVINCIAL

Premier Ford began his announcement stating with the downward trend in COVID-19 cases, the time is right for Ontario to open up a little more and get active once again
• Premier acknowledged gyms and fitness centres are vital to local communities; which is why on the advice of the Chief Medical Officer of Health the province is allowing gyms and recreation centres to increase their capacity limits as of Saturday, August 15 at 12:01 a.m. with additional public health restrictions
• Up to 50 people will be allowed per room with strict physical distancing limits in place; these changes will give business owners the flexibility they need to serve residents and hire back more workers
