· Prime Minister Trudeau did not address the media today; a national address is planned for the evening of Wednesday, September 23
· Canada’s Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Teresa Tam provided an update on national epidemiological modelling for COVID-19, indicating Canada is at a crossroad and individual actions will determine the path forward;
PROVINCIAL
· Premier Ford and Minister of Health Christine Elliott shared the first steps in the province’s comprehensive fall preparedness plan
o Plan include six key areas of focus which will be released in the days ahead
o Today’s announcement focused on the government’s plan to invest $70 million to deliver the most comprehensive flu shot campaign in Ontario’s history

· York Region is reporting its first outbreak in a school setting, with one student and one staff confirmed positive for COVID-19
