FEDERAL

Prime Minister Trudeau did not address the media today.

Federal ministers and health officials provided an overview of the procurement and regulatory process of COVID-19 vaccines;

PROVINCIAL

Premier Ford and Minister Lecce announced $13.6 million for school boards to hire more teachers and staff in Red-Control zone regions;

The Ontario government is launching targeted voluntary testing of asymptomatic students and staff in regions with high active COVID-19 cases, including York Region.

The Ontario government is launching a new online application and streamlined process to apply for social assistance to help those affected by COVID-19; the advancements are being prototyped in several municipalities including York Region.

The province proposed a cap on delivery fees to support local restaurants.

A media release was issued on York Region’s increased enforcement efforts with additional social media and promotional activities planed for the coming days. York Region reminded those celebrating American Thanksgiving of gathering limits in Red-Control zone and the importance of staying safe.
