Prime Minister Trudeau announced former NATO commander Maj.-Gen. Dany Fortin will lead Canada’s vaccine distribution efforts;

The governments of Canada and Ontario are committing up to $11.5 million through the Canadian Agricultural Partnership for new programs to increase processing capacity and help farmers adjust to current market challenges.

PROVINCIAL

Ontario reports record-breaking COVID-19 cases with 1,855 infections.

Premier Ford called on the federal government to provide certainty as COVID-19 vaccine preparation continues;

The Ontario government moved select regions to new levels in the COVID-19 Response Framework;

YORK REGION

York Region remains in Red-Control zone. The Ontario government is investing up to $15 million to expand the Community Paramedicine program for Long-Term Care.

A COVID-19 enforcement task force media release was issued, outlining inspections and charges for Friday, November 27, 2020.

During today’s enforcement blitz, the task force conducted 439 inspections, issued 8 charges and conducted 686 compliance education activities. An Enforcing COVID-19 Regulations web page has been added to york.ca/covid19
