FEDERAL

Prime Minister Trudeau did not address the media today.

Federal ministers and health officials provided an overview of the procurement and regulatory process of COVID-19 vaccines;

PROVINCIAL

The provincial government provided additional details on Ontario’s vaccination roll-out plan, with first vaccines anticipated to arrive in early 2021;

The Ontario government is investing nearly $4.4 million to support the long-term sustainability of the province’s tourism industry.

YORK REGION

Southlake Regional Health Centre has assumed management of King City Lodge Nursing Home in the Township of King to provide enhanced support for a COVID-19 outbreak.

York Region shared information about voluntary school-based saliva testing for COVID-19 in York Region schools at york.ca/SafeAtSchool; a list of participating schools is included York Region hospitals updated their visitation policies to better protect staff and patients from COVID-19

I am saddened to report another death at the King City Lodge Nursing Home. Sincerest condolences to the family and friends of the resident who passed.
