FEDERAL

Prime Minister Trudeau and health officials announced Canada will receive up to 249,000 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine in December 2020;

The federal government announced the contract award to FedEx Express Canada and Innomar Strategies Inc. for end-to-end logistic solutions for COVID-19 vaccines.

PROVINCIAL

The Ontario government provided an update on the province’s COVID-19 vaccine distribution plans including the key populations to receive the vaccine first;

The Auditor General’s 2020 Annual Report focuses on consumer protection, oversight and operational effectiveness.

YORK REGION

City of Toronto Mayor John Tory issued a statement on behalf of the Mayors and Chairs highlighting all municipalities are aligned and prepared for a synchronized vaccine distribution when ready;

Unfortunately the tragedy continues at the King City Lodge Nursing Home with 2 more fatalities. Sincerest condolences to the family and friends of these residents.
