The government of Canada announced all passenger flights entering Canada will soon require a negative COVID-19 test three days before arrival, in addition to the mandatory 14-day quarantine;


The Ontario government has released an Ethical Framework for COVID-19 vaccine distribution which was developed in partnership with the COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Task;


York Region recorded a record number of daily cases at 480 confirmed COVID-19 cases as of 5 p.m.; this was expected following lower numbers reported December 26-28, lower test results and a high number of cases which came in last night following the dashboard being updated.
